Our 9 year old Unicorn spent every Saturday morning at the Haddonfield Farmers Market. She soaked up an incredible amount of knowledge about small business operations, marketing, and customers. Chatting with the owners of Sorbello Girls Farm and DiBartolo's Bakery about operating a business and the importance of customer service outweighed going to lacrosse practice.
Despite starting dog-walking and errand-running businesses, being "under the tent" seemed to be the only place her high energy could be harnessed. Pulling our Unicorn away from the vendors caused tantrums, anger, and family chaos.
This dovetailed with John's lifelong passion for baking. What started as a pursuit for the prefect loaf of sourdough and equipped with a single Dutch oven grew into our cottage bakery. As John grew in knowledge and experience so did his kitchen equipment. Now we are honored to have a commercial oven and years of experience ready to bake the perfect loaf for you.
We embraced our daughter's love of local business and John's belief in the community-building power of organic whole grains and started a small business as a modern family.
Here at The Angry Unicorn, we support dreams that are corporate-America big and third-grader small. Maybe there is a little Angry Unicorn in us all.
